NORTHWESTERN MEDICINE CROSS COUNTRY COURSE
The Northwestern Medicine Cross Country course will provide spectators with an unparalleled view of events held on the course, and a spectacular panorama of the Fox Valley area and the downtown Chicago skyline. From one central, elevated location fans will be able to see the entire course. In addition, because the starting line and finish line are located close to each other, but do not overlap, it will be possible to have more than one race going on at a time on the course. This will shorten the time necessary for a meet. Another key feature of the course is parking for nearly 2,500 cars immediately adjacent to the course. This parking is part of a sporting complex that includes a minor league baseball stadium, an indoor soccer facility, and an ice arena. The facility will have professional food vendors on-site, and will incorporate the latest in information technology to enhance the spectator experience at cross country events.
